Die Ruinen von Bijela Tabija. Die alten Gemäuer der Weißen Festung von Sarajevo, einst Wächterin des östlichen Zugangs zur Stadt, erinnern an frühere Zeiten und liegen an einem herrlichen Aussichtspunkt, von dem aus du in alle Richtungen über die Stadt und das sie umgebende Bergland blicken kannst, was den steilen Aufstieg mehr als belohnt.

The White Tabija is a fortress on the Dariva - Moscanica road , on the eastern elevation of the Sarajevo Basin. It was erected on the site of a medieval fortress, built around 1550 . years. The upper part of Tabia in large stone blocks dates from the Austro-Hungarian period. The fort was of great importance for the defense of the city during the attack of the Austrian prince Eugene of Savoy in the 17th century, and of the Austro-Hungarian army in 1878 . years.

The White fortress give a fantastic view of the city. It's a 25-minute hike up in the hills in the Old Town but is worth the view! There is a 2KM fee to get inside. The money is used for upkeep purposes.
