Swimming pools in Iceland are serious business to the locals. They are warm all year round and have hot tubs and saunas. The geothermal pools are buried deep in the culture of Icelanders from an early age, There’s one in every town. It’s a place where locals go when they are bored, when they need a workout, when the sun is out or when they just need to know what’s going on in the world. Swimming pools are where it’s at ! We highly recommend hitting the at pool at least once on your visit. Just to zone out, relax after a good hike or just shake out the hangover from the night before. have a look at www.sundlaugar.is to see a list of all the geothermal pools in the Greater Reykjavik Area

Close by, 3 minutes by bus from “Ögurhvarf”. 30-40 minute walk but not as nice walk as to Árbæjarlaug.
