The view from the top of this temple over Krabi province makes the climb worth it - recommended.

Wat Tham Sua (Tiger Cave Temple) has a tall Buddha statue on a hill, a strenuous flight of stairs (1,237 steps), and a wonderful view of Krabi town. Make sure to bring plenty of water, be cautious of monkeys, and dress appropriately. This is also the filming location of the Thai movie FRIEND ZONE.

The 1,237 steps up (and down) might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's a gorgeous view from the top. Watch for the monkeys along the first 200 steps or so - no actual tigers are around, though.
