Good food, nice beers and wine, fantastic atmosphere. Allegedly 'the birthplace of guy fawkes'.......hmmmm! The bar is lit by candlelight, not electricity!

This is one of our favorite restaurants. If you love traditional English Food this is the perfect place to visit. Guy Fawkes is lit by old traditional gas lamps and has open fires.

Supposedly where Guy Fawkes was born?! Who knows, but it's a great, cozy pub.

“Guido Fawkes was born on this very spot in 1570 in the shadow of York Minster and was baptised in St. Michael Le Belfrey, just across the street. Centuries have passed, but this historical building is so well preserved you could be forgiven for thinking it happened just yesterday.
