Located on either side of the aptly-named Hope Street Liverpool is able to impress with two grand Cathedrals, both stunning yet very different in character. Visitors to the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral (the tallest Cathedral in the UK) can also get a rooftop view of Liverpool and beyond (apparently on a clear day it is possible to see Blackpool tower!)

This is the largest Roman Catholic Church in the United Kingdom. It is also a very unusual building, well worth a visit. On a sunny night the whole place is lit up inside!
