Bournemouth pier, Victorian pier with an amusement arcade, a variety theatre, a cafe and boat trips along the coast. The Pier Theatre was designed by Elisabeth Scott (who designed the Royal Shakespeare Theatre) when she was working in the Bournemouth Borough Architect's office in the late 1950s, and built in 1960 on the Bournemouth Pier.

Bournemouth Pier is a centre of entertainment in Bournemouth. There are fairground attractions some of the year, arcades, The Oceanarium, amusement and a theatre.
