This places are special. Cenotes are water rivers under earth that surface in some places. You can dive, snorkle or just swim or relax. Full of clear waters, some have caves. You will be surrounded by nature bathed by the sun.

An 18th-century unrestored hacienda with Moorish arches and several other worthwhile ruins. There are 2 cenotes in the property; which are connected by an "excavated" canal. Xcaret group bought this property. It opened to the public in late November 2017 and it is expected to grow for big tour groups, with guest rooms and restaurant(s). You must reserve in advance to visit it. $400 adults, $350 children - including the tour in the hacienda, cenotes entrance, life vest and snorkel gear.

An 18th century henequen plantation famous for hosting Empress Carlota, a Belgian princess married to Maximillian, a short-lived emperor of Mexico. It is said she stopped by this hacienda and its nearby cenote for a swim before continuing on to meet with Napoleon III to plead for troops in an attempt to save her husband's throne. Dedicate a day to explore these historical and captivating hacienda and cenotes - you won't regret it. After a guided tour through the grounds, they'll lead you to the entrance of the cenotes, which are connected by a man-made channel.
