Taking a day trip on the Ferry over to Martha's Vineyard is a must do during your visit! On the island, you can explore the beautiful town, rent bikes and explore the island, grab lunch a top of the harbor, and see the historic gingerbread houses.

(20 min drive) I HIGHLY reccomend taking a day to see the vineyard. Taking the Island Queen ferry in Falmouth is so easy (way easier than taking a woods hole ferry) the Island Queen brings you right into Oak Bluffs which is the more bustling town. You can get dropped off in Vineyard Haven if you go through woods hole. It’s a more quiet town. -You can a cab there or if you park, its $25/day (I think) but you would want to get there early so there is space. -You can buy your ticket online or in person, but I would do so beforehand and get there early because your ticket doesn't guarentee you access. There is a lot to do just in the area where the ferry drops you off. Check out Nancy's for dirty bananas, Ink Well beach, the flying horses carousel, you can rent mopeds or bikes, on the harbor there are water activities you can reserve etc.
