Zum eigentlichen View Point kommt man über eine Treppe, die den Hügel hinaufführt. Oben angekommen, findet man sich auf einem großen Platz wieder. Geht man geradeaus weiter, wird man mit einem herrlichen Ausblick belohnt. Das Cape ist im Grunde nur eine fast nackte Felszunge, die in das Meer hineinragt. Lediglich ein paar Palmen, etwas Gras und ein paar Sträucher zieren ihn. Rechts von der Felszunge liegt vorgelagert eine kleine Insel – Koh Mun. Lohnenswert ist ein Besuch zu Sonnenuntergang auf Promthep Cape. Für Romantiker ein Kann, für Fotografen ein Muss, wie ich finde.

Promthep Cape is one of the best viewpoints in Phuket, it's right on the southern tip of the island and the views are spectacular. Grab yourself some homemade coconut ice cream, climb the steps and watch the sun go down.

Promthep Cape is a landmark located in the south of Phuket in the Rawai District. There is an view point and a decorative lighthouse. There is also a small market with souvenirs and fruits. Once here you can visit the restaurant with a magnificent view of the sea and a wide selection of local dishes and seafood. Especially beautiful views can be seen here at sunset.
