15 minutes away, clean and beautiful lake. Perfect for swimming, kayaking, boating, fishing, and any of your water needs. Also many many great hiking trails!

This scenic lake is actually the clearest lake in Vermont and its southern end is surrounded by the Willoughby State Forest.

There is nothing quite like it anywhere in VT or the Northeast, for that matter. It looks like a lake in the Alps. It is worth the drive! The back side is less busy amd you can walk in through a wooded path.

While busy on weekends in the summer, there are beaches on the north and south ends of the lake (the south west corner is nude, too, so that’s exciting).

Willoughby has it all! A true gem of the NEK. Swimming, hiking, sailing, or just a scenic drive. The north and south beach are the classic swimming spots.
