I recommend this one because it's pretty much a staple in Manteo. Good for when visiting Manteo and walking around downtown. They make decent sandwiches and soups. And it's on the water.

Poor Richards is located in the middle of downtown Manteo overlooking the Shallowbag Bay marina. Very casual place offering sandwiches, burgers, breakfast and brunch. In the evenings, the street side bar has live music on a regular basis. There is an outdoor deck for water view dining. Due to it's location, it has been flooded a number of times. Check out the hurricane flood waters marker.

We love this place! on the water, the boats and all of the activity of Downtown Manteo. My favorite is the grilled pastrami. Oh local beer on tap! Outdoor seating facing the docks.

Great for lunch. You can eat on the back porch or on the boardwalk at the waters edge. Just beautiful!
