A stunning iconic Munro due to her shape. Fantastic to photograph from various places on the ground or get your walking boots on and hike up to the summit. There is a path most of the way.

The Scottish Highlands have their own special magic and ever-changing mood. Here the tempest of Scotland’s erratic climate meets a dramatic landscape draped in a green and purple tartan; and where stories have been told since time immemorial by the fiercely independent Highland folk. To them the mountains are more than rock and heather, but sacred and living; and none more so than Schiehallion. Schiehallion (Fairy Hill) rises 3553ft above the dark waters of Loch Tummel in Highland Perthshire, and its distinctive shape has made it one of the most easily recognizable mountains in Scotland, and one the most popular for hillwalkers. Its allure is far more than simple aesthetics.

The view from the top, on a clear day, is spectacular, well worth the walk!

Shiehallion is the most popular mountain in Scotland to climb for those who like off-the-beaten track places - easier than Ben Nevis with stunning views across to Glencoe in the west and the Cairngorms in the east, it's quieter and less busy than Nevis. Pay & Display car park

Our closest Munro. Not a difficult hill and a good path. Remember to have change in the car as they charge for parking at this middle-of-nowhere spot.
