A convent turned tanning factory turned library with the second largest collection of English language books in Mexico. Check it out just to explore the stacks and hidden rooms. Definitely see the big meeting room that is covered nearly head to toe in murals. There’s a little theater on site, and a café, and a gift shop.

The library is a central hub for tourists, the expat community and the youth of San Miguel. Information is readily available for private tours, walking tours and events throughout the city. Tickets for local events are on sale at the Tesoros gift shop. The cafe offers light meals for breakfast and lunch. It is the second largest bilingual library in Mexico. All purchases at the gift shop and cafe support the libraries free programs and scholarships for local youth.
