The locals call it Annie Beach. You walk out on a long sand spit to find a spot to set up your umbrella. A beautiful sandy beach with relaxing swimming, no surf.
Our favorite beach at sunset... take your beach chairs, pupus and watch the sunset.
also known as 'a bay' it fronts all of the big 5 star resorts in Waikoloa and is very catered too. Beautiful white sand beach with great little restaurant right on the sand called Lava Lava Beach CLub.
From Anaeho'omalu Bay ("A Bay") one can walk south along the coast for 45 minutes to a fresh water swimming hole known as Lone Palm. When you reach the one "lone palm," veer left to see the swimming hole. Bring googles and water shoes of some sort as the rocks surrounding the pond are very jagged and painful to walk on otherwise. If you go in the afternoon, chances are you will see turtles sunning themselves on the beach.
