Das wunderschöne Kloster Randa – auch genannt “Santuari Senyora de Cura de Randa” oder “Santuari de la Mare de Déu de Cura” – liegt auf der Spitze des 542 Meter hohen Berges Puig de Randa, auf dem sich noch zwei weitere Klöster befinden. Von dem kleinen Dörfchen Randa aus, welches sich am Fuße des Berges befindet, führt eine Straße hinauf zum Kloster. Zunächst gelangt man zum Kloster “Santuari de Nostra Senyora de Gràcia”, das nicht viel mehr als eine kleine Kirche ist und im 15. Jahrhundert erbaut wurde. In dem zweiten Kloster “Ermita de Sant Honorat” aus dem 14. Jahrhundert, welches etwa einen Kilometer weiter bergauf gelegen ist, leben auch heute noch Mönche. Nach ca. 5 Kilometern erreich

Located at the top of the higgest mountain in this area, about 540 meters over the sea, you can see views of all the island, you must stop before arrive to the sanctuary -where you find some antennas- to see the nord and east zone, and then from the sanctuary, view the mountains and the rest of the island. There is also a small museum and a restaurant where you can have a drink or taste typical majorcan dishes. Those are the coordinates: 39.527412, 2.926380

Disclaimer: This isn‘t a great place for foodies - the menu is ok but not great. The 360*degree view, however, is spectacular. Cyclists who love a mountain challenge come here a lot. There‘s a big parking space, too, - and room for picnic.

From there you have a good perspective of the whole district of Llucmajor. You can do a nice trecking as well and then have a meal in his restaurant!
