I love this place. I believe it is temporarily closed due to the Covid, but when it is open, it is a beautiful library to wander through. It also has a great selection of local Galveston historical items on display and a wonderful children's section. (They also have one of the best used book sales in the country which I assume is also on hold due to the Covid, but if you are a book-lover keep an eye out for it!)

Hosted in a beautiful, historic building where several public displays will teach you about the fascinating history of Galveston. The beautiful architecture of the building is well worth a visit. The building has been under partial renovation, so some of the exhibitions have been closed temporarily. Very friendly and helpful staff.
