Durbuy's old town is well worth a visit. It is the unofficial smallest city in the world, but don't let it's size fool you! It's packed with picturesque alleyways, a stunning castle and wide vista's of the surrounding valley.

The smallest town in the world! In Durbuy's old town, the cobbled streets with their historic houses are a major attraction for visitors. Discovering the beautiful town on foot takes you past alleys, shops and cosy cafés and restaurants. You can even discover a piece of the old city wall. Intimate and atmospheric Durbuy is a must in every season. The small town of Durbuy has undeniable charm. The town lies on the meandering Ourthe. While strolling in the car-free historical heart, you can look around at the old buildings that have been built in the local stone. Don't miss Durbuy's oldest street, rue Daufresne de la Chevalerie. It is covered with pebbles from the Ourthe. Heritage and nature blend seamlessly. The topiary park is special, as is the age-old massive limestone Omalius rock and the water point. Plus the rocky point on which the castle is built. Durbuy is a great location for a holiday in a worthwhile and beautiful part of the Belgian Ardennes. Enjoy the wooded area and the flowing water, the cosiness of the town and the many good restaurants. The local cuisine seduces the taste buds! Durbuy has a good culinary reputation. There are plenty of walking and cycling routes around Durbuy. For the more adventurous there is Adventure Valley Durbuy and for the children there is the Labyrinth in summer!

Epicenter of our Ardennes region. Highly recommended for hikes and warm chocolate milk :) Definitly visit if you like hiking and adventure. 3h by train but a car is recommended to get around locally.

Durbuy is known as the smallest historic town in the world. Cozy center, with terrasse and restaurants. Has a wide range of outdoor activities and kayak trips from the Ourthe. A cozy Christmas market in the old town and an ice skating rink during the month of December.
