Das Restaurant ist ein rustikales urtypisches portugiesisches Restaurant, geöffnet nur über die Mittagszeit, seht beliebt bei Urlaubern und Portugiesen. Frischer Atlantikfisch und Fleisch vom Grill. Man sitzt auf langen Bänken und Tischen und fühlt sich wie bei einer portugiesischen Feier. Oft muss man eine Wartezeit auf einen freien Platz in kauf nehmen.

For those looking for high-quality, traditional Portuguese cuisine with great prices and something a little bit different, this family-friendly restaurant ticks all those boxes. Expect the queue to be out the door on arrival, but it is worth the wait.

Restaurante Chico Zé - on the EN125 driving towards Odiáxere. Excellent grilled food and good prices and always very busy. There are no airs and graces here. It opens for lunch Monday to Saturday only but is well worth a visit and great value for money. When you finish eating make sure to walk around the superb gardens and outbuildings and don’t miss the old school, chapel, and wine making area.
