Known as the 8th wonder of the world, Burney Falls is world renowned and a very popular tourist destination! You have to see it for yourself!
24898 State Highway 89, Burney, CA 96013 The falls were called "the Eighth Wonder of the World" by President Theodore Roosevelt, and were declared a National Natural Landmark in December 1954.
Theodore Roosevelt called the falls "the Eighth Wonder of the World." 129 foot falls; great picture spot!
Burney Falls is not too far and is a really beautiful falls, fairly easy hike. There is a small lake on the far side of the park and a general store. It's a great 1/2 day excursion.
Just an hour drive to this beautiful park. It’s a bit cooler therefor a nice treat on a hot local day.
