A great bushland experience. Walk the tracks and climb the rock formations to see some of the most amazing views of the Granite Belt. Good for all fitness levels, pet friendly. Wear good walking shoes.

Donnelly’s Castle is only about 10 minutes’ drive away and is a good example of the granite boulders and outcrops that the area is known for. Legend has it that it was a hideout for Captain Thunderbolt. The walking tracks are easy-to-moderate and the view from the top of the rock is amazing – a good vantage point for a bushranger to see the constabulary coming.

Donnelley’s castle is a formation of rocks with views and cavelike formations. Dogs are allowed ( our dog, Molly, loves to come here) children just love it too. It’s such an exciting place for them to visit, and it’s free. Wear sturdy shoes. There are picnic tables there, but only a drop toilet.
