Excellent food and amazing views. One of my favorite places to eat and have a drink.
Great restaurant when it's open. Great view of the crater out back of the hotel. Expensive rooms, with paper thin walls.
The Rim restaurant at Volcano House is inside the National Park and has a STUNNING view of the lava lake. Try to get a reservation right before nightfall so that you can see the view during the day and the lava glow as night falls. The Rim is more formal dining. There is a lounge in Volcano House…
Upscale dining with a smaller menu at the bar. The only restaurant with a view of the volcano.

“Café Ono doubles as both a charming restaurant and an art and craft gallery and shop. There is a variety of teas, a few lunch items, and gorgeous outdoor seating. The shop includes beautifully made jewelry, art and trinkets by local artists on the island and living nearby. In the back area of the outdoor seating and gardens are a few simple walking paths with manicured bonsai plants and statues. This restaurant is 44.8 miles and is about a 1 hour drive from our center and a wonderful stop when in the Volcano area.”

“Uncle Robert’s ‘Awa Club and Farmer’s Market is known for live music, a joyous atmosphere, and a deep respect for Hawaiian Sovereignty. This space has an ‘awa bar, Saturday farmer’s market, Wednesday night market, the Kaimu Corner store, and is an essential local stop on a journey to lower Puna. Uncle's and the Kaimu Corner Store offer a selection of some prepared foods, snacks, and drinks, and are 5 miles or about a 10 minute drive down the road from our center.”

“Always interesting things happening here - even when there’s nothing but a food truck and skateboarders 🤠 the Sunday farmers market is a must! (skate park section temp. closed)”
