A short walk from Riverwalk Cottage there a a number of interesting shops and cafes. Article Cafe at 25 Drews Ave stands out. The vibe is unique and warm. Great coffee and snacks, art, retro clothing and stuff. Just seems to be a place to be, to chill, meet. Highly recommend a visit. The coffee is really good. I'm enjoying it. Roasted by Devils Cup in Patea (who'd have thought) Open Wednesday to Saturday 8.30am to 3.00pm.

Coffee and cake anyone?? A great hideaway with retro gear to buy as well. Read the newspaper and chill out here. Fantastic old building too. Open most days
