Modern and always changing, this museum isn't always on a top 5 list of the National Mall's exhibits, but is a real cool modern gem. Look for the visiting exhibits for ideas. Come and spend an hour and then move on. No need to spend a whole day.

Our kids love to come here and see the the contemporary art - younger ones especially are intrigued by exhibits that often contain large sculptures, video and other groundbreaking work.
