Be sure to leap into the cool waters at the base of this 35-foot cascade. “Another must-see within the El Yunque Rain Forest, visitors may take either the La Mina Trail or the Big Tree Trail to access a waterfall that should most definitely be on a postcard. Hikers may even swim in the pool at the bottom of the falls. There is no fee, but be advised that it can get pretty crowded.” Tips: • Be sure to wear sturdy shoes, as the rocks can be a bit slippery. • The La Mina Trail is the shorter of the two trail options, but it does get a bit steep in places. • Visit the Ranger Station at the head of the La Mina Trail to get a map.
