The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway in Palm Springs, California, is the largest rotating aerial tramway in the world. It was opened in September 1963 as a way of getting from the floor of the Coachella Valley to near the top of San Jacinto Peak and was constructed in rugged Chino Canyon.
Best views of the Coachella Valley!! Great hiking trails at the top as well as a movie theater, restaurant and bar. $17 a ticket up but worth taking the tram up.

“(Walk) Cuban inspired Diner but menu is very eclectic. Food is good great if you don't want anything to fussy or fancy. Free deviled eggs bottomless soup and best part... You can walk there from the Atomic Bungalow. Hungover? They got you covered. Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner.”
