I love this down-to-earth, tucked away, dive-bar-vibe-with-highbrow-taste establishment. The bartenders are lovely, and they'll make you a drink that will send you reeling. Fresh, intentional, innovative. And you'll feel like a local.

“Thursday and Friday night only. Awesome wood-fired pizza in a tiny converted garage. Nice patio in a beautiful historic neighborhood.”

“At the Benton Park restaurant, chef John Messbarger mashes up dishes from New Orleans (a fried oyster po’boy) and the East Coast (a Maine-style lobster roll) to delicious results. With peel-and-eat shrimp, fresh oysters and Buffalo crawfish steamed buns, it’s a seafood-lover’s paradise.”

“Just around the corner is Yemanja, a family run Brazilian restaurant that will please veggies and meat eaters alike. And those Caipirinha drinks made with Cachaca-the rum of Brazil- they are terrific!! Nice patio for three season dining. Award winning steaks too!”

“Benton Park is one of those neighborhoods in St. Louis City that has more history than it knows what to do with – and that is not a bad thing! Beyond the ample amount of beautiful city parks, Benton Park hosts one of the best antique shopping areas in the city and a slew of phenomenal establishments for food and drink. The neighborhood itself is a melting pot of small businesses, artists, singles and families, making it a very desirable place for city living. It has also been one of the premier spots for rehabs in large part to the beautiful existing local architecture and local draws. ”
