The historic and abandoned mining town of Rush is a short and scenic drive - less than three miles, from our Redbud Cottage. On the edge of the lower Buffalo river wilderness area, many interesting structures remain from this once prosperous zinc mining village. Rush landing is a popular area for canoe takeout, fishing and swimming, and features several well-groomed trails for hiking and sightseeing.
