Sunshine+metal+robots=Metro's Tap Room. Really fantastic outdoor beer patio on the banks of the Chicago River! Even in the winter, it's a beautiful spot for a beer. BYOF, so come for a liter of delicious german-style lager and bring your favorite carryout!

My property is close (~1mi) to a number of breweries in the North Center neighborhood off of Irving Park Road and Ravenswood Avenue such as Begyle Brewery and Dovetail. However, my favorite craft beer made in Chicago is Metropolitan Brewing. Their brewery is located right on the Chicago River and gives you a beautiful view while tasting away. It's worth the trip a little farther west to the Avondale neighborhood.

Metropolitan Brewing offers an awesome patio with lots of seating, located right on the North Branch of the Chicago River. This is a fantastic spot to visit during the summer months, but they also have indoor seating for the colder parts of the year. They brew German-style lagers served on draft as well as cans and bottles for carry out. You can also bring your own food or order your favorite spot for delivery to the brewery. It's also dog-friendly so there's another great reason to visit!
