Kumanote-arai Onsen (Bear Paw Washing Hot Springs) Legend has it the onsen was found when a bear was washing a wound, and it has strong healing properties. This is the least hot of the Nozawa public hot spring baths, and recommended. There is a trailhead from just past here that goes up to a little known mountain shrine and further connecting to Tsutsuji-yama Park and the top of Mt. Mizuo.
