If you are permitted (ask if its ok at the information centre in Akaroa) to visit the kaik and also visit the le bons bay church which is listed as one of NZ most significant architectural buildings of the 20th century (a must to go inside). There is also Little Akaloa church, amazing carvings inside. Visit Akaroa museum, and Josie GIants house.
