“Lots of nice hiking in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The Chamisa Trail, Aspen Vista, Rio En Medio, Bear Walla - Borrego Loop. There is a hiking book in the master bedroom that you can refer to for information and more trails.”

“This is a growing scene in Santa Fe for many activities. Every week-end morning there is the Farmer's Market. The Velvet Crown Movie/restaurant/bar Theater. There are performance theaters and small trade show venues in this area. The 100 yr. old original train station is still in operation with daily Rail Runner train arrivals and departures to and from Albuquerque. My grandfather, a steam locomotive engineer, once piloted steam engines into this station in the 1920's. Now there are restaurants, galleries, performance centers, movie theaters, and frequent music entertainment here . Healing practitioner's offices are also in this area.”

“For a nice meal and truly the world’s best margarita, do not miss Paloma. Owner Marja Martin has cultivated a dangerously good menu and now we’re sotol fiends because of their extensive Mexican spirit list. She took her whole staff to Oaxaca this year to explore and learn and that’s the kind of business we want to see thriving. Local food vendors listed on the site, they’re doing everything right there. ”
