Climb the peak you can see from our lounge room window and deck. Considered a 3hr rtn (6.5km rtn) hike, I'd allow a little longer to leave time for photos of the spectacular views of the Grampians. Its rated a hard hike, but quite manageable if you take your time. The track starts a couple of km's up the road, winds through heathy woodland and forest before a climb to the escarpment and then across rock slabs to the summit. Its 279m higher than Mt Sturgeon. Elevation change 457m. Summit 827m.
