The fish hatchery is a very short walk from Icicle Camp. While there you can learn about and view salmon and walk an easy, pleasant trail . . . and possibly see wildlife.

Built in 1940 and was the world's largest fish hatchery at the time. There are tanks of fingerlings and fish ladders. The main building is open when staff are available. Freely walk around the grounds and read the signage. There are also trails to walk beyond the hatchery. Spring Chinook return to the hatchery to spawn in June/July.

The Hatchery raises and releases 1 million salmon fry per year. A nice visitor center. At the end of the hatchery there is a nice walking trail.
