Balos lagoon is located approximately 17 km northwest of Kissamos. It is famous for its turquoise waters, the wild natural beauty and the beautiful exotic scenery. It is accessible by car and by boat from Kissamos port.

It's one of the greatest beaches in Greece. You can reach it on foot (I would do it only for photos. I dit go on Balos on foot once, but with sun over us, was a bit tiring.) or by ship (taking it from Kissamos).

Considered on of the top beaches in Europe. Balos amd Gramvousa lagoon is accessible by boat from the small port in Kissamo (40 min drive). the ferries leave Kissamo port several times a day on the am. and return in early afternoon. you can also arrange to visit via private boat.
