Unique village and walks. cafe and parking. the road is narrow and steep and ends at the village but the views are worth it and you can park further down and walk to the village and back. Ashness bridge is on the way here. Go to Keswick first.

A peaceful hamlet next to a tarn, with cafe and loos. The walk to get here is simply beautiful: past Ashness Bridge and Surprise View, through ancient woodland and along a gorgeous beck.

Traditional Lakeland hamlet in a hanging valley high in the Borrowdale fells. Small cafe. Stocked trout tarn.
