The Takase River (高瀬川 Takase-gawa?) is a very beautiful canal in the center of Kyoto. It rises from Nijō-Kiyamachi, going along Kiyamachi Street, and meets the Uji River at Fushimi port. The canal crosses with the Kamo River on the way.

Actually it's not nature. But you can feel atmosphere of Kyoto. There're lots of small shops. Night view(Safe at midnight), Cherry Blossom are also good. Recommend go for a walk :)

Along the nice traditional small canal, great spot for relaxing walking and many local restaurants and bars for your evening in ancient town. 7 minutes walking to East.
