Bled Castle is the oldest castle in Slovenia and stands proudly on the top of the cliff overlooking the lake. Definitely worth visiting for the views which will let you breathless. Its also a place where you can learn about the rich history of the area, medieval printing and also Slovenian honey. There is also a great restaurant on top.

Bled Castle Restaurant is an exquisite restaurant located at Bled Castle. Under new management as of March 2015, it offers traditional Slovene dishes with a modern twist – the current generation of the Jezersek family is serving modern interpretations of recipes written by his grandmother more than 70 years ago. The menu is regularly adapted to reflect the season. The food and the service are excellent, but one of the main reasons to eat here are the extraordinary views over the Lake Bled and Slovenian Alps.

This is a charming little castle built on a precipice above the town of Bled, overlooking Lake Bled. The views from the castle over the lake and town to the mountains beyond are really spectacular.

Amazing view on the lake and island from the castle. Good restaurant and medieval museum.
