Beautiful place for a walk and there is a play ground on the way there. Fun for everyone

A beautiful playground, splash pad, small beach (with some fun driftwood huts), reserve, a walking track along the sea and river (see if you can spot the kiwi statues dotted along the path), BBQ's, etc. Gorgeous spot with amazing views. Stop at Muriwai's cave on the right hand side just before you get to the Heads playground, for a small dose of local history.
