There is a beautiful 5k walk around the lake. You can start from Nakuhel. There is a sandy bathing beach and many spots around the lake for swimming, fishing, kayaking. In the winter you can ice skate and ski over the frozen lake. There are many signed hiking and skiing paths from here.

A beautiful lake to run or walk along - or around. Also a nice starting point for a trip in the forest Vestmarka, with lots of hiking trails and quite a few "coffee cabins" where you can have a nice pitstop.

Semsvannet, close to the residence of the Norwegian Crownprince family, is a beautiful lake near Asker town. There is a fine walk/jog from the car park round the lake to Tveiter farm. Enjoy the wild life, song birds, owls and woodpeckers, the rich flora, watch rising fish in the lake, and enjoy the pastures where there are cows, horses and sheep. At Tveiter you can admire the finest waterfall in Asker - if there's not too much water, you can even walk in behind the waterfall! If you are more adventurous, you might want to try the more strenuous hike up to the top of the overlooking Skaugumåsen (the Skaugum hill). From the top on a fine day the view of the Oslo fjord is incredibly beautiful.

Great place for hiking, running, let dogs play free with other dogs (special area for this on right hand side of lake). 5 km if walking around the lake. A great starting point for long skiing trips.
