The neighborhoody vibe of this understated French restaurant and wine bar transports you to Paris for the night. It’s run by super cool people and attracts a young, hip crowd. The menu changes often so you can go frequently and not eat the same things. Look for dishes like beef tartare, fried squid, and pork rillette. You feel good after eating here. They serve some of the best bread in the city. It has the perfect crust to it it and is really flaky and crunchy but still soft enough to eat without hurting your mouth. Perfect for dipping in olive oil.

Unbelievable European-inspired menu with insane organic wine list. Get their "orange wine" (it's not actually orange flavored but they leave the skins in the white wine for a bit longer)
Wonderful wonderful inventive food and funky wine list. Great music & sweet service. Super popular so get there as early as you can!

A meal here might include Southern-style white shrimp, rich pork rillettes, crispy squid with green onions, bright scallop ceviche, and spicy chopped tuna on toast. To drink, this Lower East Side neo-bistro offers an exciting selection of natural wines, available by the bottle or by the glass.
