Food scene
These are my favorite locally owned restaurants that serve some of the best quality (and decently priced) food.
If you love Mediterranean food then Meddys is the place to go! They offer authentic healthy Mediterranean fare at reasonable prices. Their hummus, shawarmas, and salads are made to order and served in a casual and vibrant atmosphere. They also have a bar where you can order a tasty hand-crafted cocktail.
If you go there you have to try their chicken shawarma, hummus, and garlic potatoes.

Sightseeing
Our zoo is ranked 7th best zoo in the whole USA! Home to over 3,000 animals, the Sedgwick County Zoo seems to always have a fun event going on every weekend. It's definitely an attraction that is fun for all age groups!
If you're not a member, tickets are $20 for an adult and $15 for a child (tax included).

Tanganyika is one of the only places in the country where you can hand-feed lemurs. The park offers more hands-on opportunities than most animal experiences. Tanganyika is definitely a unique experience.

Located just 17 miles west of Wichita, Cheney State Park offers a unique recreational getaway. The lake offers excellent sailing and boating, swimming areas, and several picnic/day use areas.

Experience one of the most iconic images in Wichita.
