Food scene

These are my favorite locally owned restaurants that serve some of the best quality (and decently priced) food.
If you love Mediterranean food then Meddys is the place to go! They offer authentic healthy Mediterranean fare at reasonable prices. Their hummus, shawarmas, and salads are made to order and served in a casual and vibrant atmosphere. They also have a bar where you can order a tasty hand-crafted cocktail. If you go there you have to try their chicken shawarma, hummus, and garlic potatoes.

I've been to a lot of Mexican restaurants in Wichita and Taqueria El Fogon is by far the BEST one that serves the most authentic Mexican food. It's definitely a hole in the wall, but those always turn out to be the best. Just be aware that they are CASH ONLY! If you go there, you have to try their horchata and el pastor quesadilla.
