The Keeper of the Plains is an awesome place to visit. It's on the river and it's free! They light the Ring of Fire at 9pm for 15 minutes during Daylight Savings and at 7pm during Standard Time.
This is a must see historical place for all of Wichita, and is surrounded with walking paths along the Arkansas River and downtown, which has a great night life, food, and free public transportation.
Everyone loves to see the keeper of the plains! We recommend going at night to see it light up with fire around. Or go during the day for a beautiful walking scenery.
