This is about an hour west down I-90. If you want to have a special meal and are willing to drive…and spend a bit…DO IT! Dinner is served only twice a month on Saturday. You will need to call ahead for reservations.
They do have good coffee and sandwiches during the day as well.

A fun and funky grill. I’ve never tried anything but appetizers here…and they have always been amazing. For dinner on the weekend, a reservation would be a good idea.

Exactly as it sounds…a little mom-and-pop pizza and chicken shop that is ah-maze-ing. Our favorite is the Messy Redneck pizza. And the best part…they deliver to our address. 😎 🍕

One of the top ten drives in the nation. If you are hear to see things…you need to see this. Plan a full day…and a picnic. We like to stop in Red Lodge (a fabulous little town at the foot of the Beartooth Mountains) for candy (Candy Emporium) and coffee. We also love getting pizza at Red Lodge Pizza Co. Whatever you have time for. The highway closes frequently for weather. It is only open between Memorial Day and Labor Day, weather permitting. Check the road conditions before you head there.

Water. For Montana, big water. Lots of fun for fishing, floating, boating, canoeing, etc. or, if you want to be cool like us, sitting in a giant swan. About 30 minutes drive toward Red Lodge.

You can see William Clark’s signature etched into the rock…not to mention several mountain ranges from the top of the pillar…and the beautiful Yellowstone River. The interpretive center is fantastic. This is a favorite stop when we have out of state visitors. Your National Parks Pass will get you in for free.

This sight is part of the National Park system. You can see William Clark’s signature etched into the rock…not to mention several mountain ranges from the top of the pillar…and the beautiful Yellowstone River. The interpretive center is fantastic. This is a favorite stop when we have out of state visitors. Your National Parks Pass will get you in for free.
