City/town information
Kalona in a half hour south and a beautiful little town. Lots of shops including Amish run Stringtown Grocer, Sisters Gardens and Blooms, Pink Begonia, ice cream shop, bakery and the Tuscan Moon restaurant. Well worth the trip but watch out for those Amish buggies.

Kalona in a half hour south and a beautiful little town. Lots of shops including Amish run Stringtown Grocer, Sisters Gardens and Blooms, Pink Begonia, ice cream shop, bakery and the Tuscan Moon restaurant. Well worth the trip but watch out for those Amish buggies.
Nearby Iowa City offers a huge variety of restaurants and shopping. From the New Pioneer Co op to Von Maur for shoes or clothes. Don't miss the Iowa City Farmers Market on Saturday mornings.
