Take a trip to the beach and rent a canoe, paddle board, kayak or pontoon. Perfect place for a nice hike too!

Lake Macbride State Park is Iowa's largest-2180 acres state park. It is a 20 minute ride north through the town of Solon. Solon has great food options! Big Grove Brewery, Red Vespa and the Brass Fountain are right on Solon’s Main Street. Moxie&Mortar is a beautiful home goods store to visit! While at Lake McBride, you can boat in the lake or relax on the beach with refreshments from the concession stand. Pontoons, motor boats, canoes, kayaks and paddle boards can also be rented at the beach. Hike one of the many multi-use trails at Lake Macbride. There are more than seven miles of hiking trails wind around the lake.
