Riverside
Head from Riverside to St Johns Avenue. My favorite street for restaurants. For seafood oysters and the best happy hour go to Blue Fish.
But walk up and down the few blocks, check out all the bars. Get a haircut or the best.... go for Reflexology( foot massage treatment) . You will dance a night. But end the trip at La Macaron for the best treat and coffee in Jax

The newest hangout for Beer emporiums, food, food trucks, pool, and live music in an Irish pub. Continue up Edgewood Av S for another 3 blocks and try ElJefe for Mexican food and Tuesday trivia.
Best pizza? Moon River.
Best breakfast? Maple St kitchen . Get the chicken biscuit with collards.
But I don’t like their coffee. Cross the street to the Flamingo coffee bar.

Busy beach with everything . Lots of food, music, dancing, and the closest beach. But for the 20 something try a few blocks south to 3rd street or around the lifeguard headquarters.

I have lived everywhere , I always Amelia Island is the most beautiful hidden gem in America.
Walk the oldest downtown , visit the Ritz Carlton for the most breathtaking golf course, shop next door at the Omni, and come back home by way of Hecksher Drive. This road follows the ocean and offers over 5 national parks, plus beaches you can drive a car on. I often see kite surfers. Stop at the Jax zoo .

You must visit St Augustine, home of Ponce de Leon and the fountain of youth. In the daytime take all the tours. Inexpensive and fun. Go to the Fort, Ripleys believe it or not, or take a carriage ride.
The nightlife here is nonstop and goes for blocks. Best Blues clubs and music is here. But in the town center wander from bar to ice cream to souvenirs to tattoos( fake). Kids love it, teens love it, older folks love it.
Just know in traffic hours it takes about 45 minutes.
