Famous for it's Mojitos and Hemingway. Stop buy and drink one mojito...then walk a few steps to the main Plaza and stare at the beautiful Cathedral.

This is another place Hemingway made famous. You must try a Daiquiri...my favorite are the coconut daiquiris. Also relax and listen to some music. I wouldn't suggest eating here. As it's very touristy and the food isn't great.

The revolution plaza. Where all of Fidel's speeches took place. You can also visit the Jose Marti monument. Elevator to the top and see all of havana.

The castle is very well preserved in old Havana - it is actually the oldest stone fortification in the Americas. It is now part of the Unesco World Heritage site of "Old Havana and its fortifications".

It is incredible that this pharmacy not only has survived but is still in use today. Worth visiting on a walk about in the centre of Havana. The double storey shelving is full of old pharmacy jars and there are other historic items on displays such as scales, microscope and an old prescription book.

Parks & Nature

There is an air conditioned bus with seating opposite the Hotel Ingleterra. For 5 CUCs round trip (keep your transfer ticket) go to Santa Maria beach. When you hit the beach turn left and go to the first group of chairs & umbrellas. The thatched palapas are free in Cuba. You can sit under them or rent loungers for 2 CUCs. Beach umbrellas are also 2 CUCs.
