This is a hole-in-the-wall locals oasis where the fish tacos and the clam chowder are the best you will ever have. All the wraps are unique and delicious. It is a MUST if you are trying to live like a local while you're here.

The BEST bread in town!! It is also at many restaurants (Inlcuding Zydeco) but you can buy it to take with, or eat a scrumptious sandwich at the bakery.

Amazing breakfast and brunch! Expect a wait- this is an iconic breakfast spot that is a converted house, and there is minimal seating, even with outdoor seating. The wait is usually long, but the food is worth it! I recommend the Sampson- crab cake with poached eggs and focaccia. You can't go wrong!

This restaurant is very close to our house, in the same complex as CE Lovejoys grocery store. If you are craving Mexican, they have great apps, chips and dip, and margaritas!

This is one of our favorite restaurants! Located right next to the movie theater, it is great before a movie or in the midst of shopping in the Old Mill shopping area. All Hawaiin and island food that is to die for! I suggest trying the chicken katsu or bulgogi. Trust me!

The restaurant is a converted house so it can definitely be noisy when crowded. Tons of beers on tap and awesome specials if you are feeling adventurous. If not, the best staples are the mac and cheese, the buffalo mac and cheese, and the artichoke dip.

CE Lovejoys is the closest store to our house- right down the street. It is a very cute grocery store with necessities as well as novelties. I would suggest going here because it does not require going farther into town.

Market of Choice is one of our best grocery stores. It runs a little spendy compared to your typical grocery store, but it has amazing prepared food and take-and-bake options, as well as local breads, fun desserts, and a juice bar. SO many options!

We are known as being a ski town because we are only 20 minutes from Mt. Bachelor. People from all over the country come to visit us to hit the slopes. In the winter, the mountain has many runs and a great lodge for a ski trip. In the summer you can also take the lift to the top to have a mountain-side dinner at the restaurant. It is a must-see.

Smith Rock is a gorgeous hiking and climbing spot located 45 minutes from Bend. Choose easy, moderate, and hard hikes to the top, or spend the day bouldering and climbing up the side! Smith Rock will not disappoint.
