Ashtown visitor centre is a great spot for families. The cafe has a good selection of coffees and food. It has a quiet courtyard on the old grounds with an adjacent modern playground for the kids.

Used for state visits Farmleigh House is a great spot for Heritage tours and picnicking on the Estate grounds. In the summer months the farmers markets are a huge attraction.

The Ark is a unique, purpose-built cultural centre in the heart of Dublin's Temple Bar. Children aged 2 -12 can explore theatre, music, literature, art, film & dance. Our daughter Maya (5) loved it.

Home to the Irish president and 20 minutes walk from our house. The house is open to the public each Saturday. 5200 people visit the formal rooms and view the grounds each year. Worth the walk:)

The Storehouse really surprised me when I first visited it. The exhibition provides insights on the history of the brewery, its workers and traditions. Top it off with 2 free pints in the rooftop bar.
