This is one restaurant I can recommend. A bit of a drive. the chef is from Italy, everything is made from scratch. It is BYOB and CASH only!

OK.. this one is hard to find (she runs a kitchen out of her house), and she has sporadic hours (because she can).. but holy cow she makes great Thai food! But if you drive by and she's open.. STOP and GET FOOD!

It's fun to go see the dam. There's a beautiful smaller lake behind it -- COLD-- that has great trout fishing. The AT runs just up from the dam (drive behind 1/4 mile) and you can see great views of the lake in winter.
